My wife Lilly and I joined our First Schutzhund club 9 years ago after buying our first shepherd Barron
from freinds of ours that were already in the club.
We now train with a private training group in Edwardsburg
Michigan with some very talented dogs and handlers we work as a group supporting one another in all phases everyone
learns from each other whether there novice or top competitor we also travel and train with some of the top clubs and helpers
in Indiana, our helper is a Nationally certified helper with Schutzhund USA. and brings talents with multiple breeds
to read and effect excellent training with all dogs.
I,ve
had several German Shepherd dogs as i grew up but only as pets and never as a trainied dog.
I think
all dogs have the ability to excell to there best, if we have the ability to find there motivation and use it properly, As
a handler i feel it is my responsibilty to do the best by my dog not that he owes it to me if we work as a team we can motivate
each other.
My wife lillian is currently Working a young female Fronka vom Houserhaus she is presently
Training for her Bh and showing good drives for the work.
My current dog is Axel Vom Matschenka
brought to us from Mike Worral imported thru our freind Ed Frear. Axel has very high drive for all the phases of work and
very good balance we currently have attained our Sch 2.
I am working a young female that I purchased from
Van Meerhout Kennels Fiest Van Meerhout she is showing awsome drives and focus She is a Crok granddaughter and will bring
all her genetic strengths in her training and trialing.
We had our first planned litter with Axel and
Cay and were very pleased at the outcome to date, the pups went to homes in Texas,Minnesota,Kentucky, and
our own club members. we will not have puppies available on a consistent basis we will breed as we need dogs to work or if
the need for pups arises I believe that a breeder has a resposibility to the litter that is created well beyond the sale of
the pup but for it,s life time and it is the responsibility of the breeder to make sure where the pups are going and the fitness
of there new owners. I hear alot from people who sell dogs consistently about the terrible things that happen with the sale
of a pup or it,s treatment I beleieve it is the breeders responsibility to find out as much about a prospective owner as possible
check out back ground and refrences this cuts down on the horror stories that we all hear about pups and dogs.
